Evaluating temporal queries
Exquisitor's current approach to temporal queries works well in practice but has not been properly evaluated. Design a benchmark or user study that compares it with other approaches.
Alternative interaction strategies
Extend Exquisitor with a new search or exploration strategy and study how users work with it.
Composed image retrieval with interactive learning
Composed image retrieval finds images from a reference image and a text describing a change to it. Explore how relevance feedback can refine composed queries over several rounds of interaction.
Benchmarking eCP-FS
Already taken, but kept here as an example of what a project can look like
eCP-FS is a mature, feature-complete library. Add it to benchmark suites such as ANN-Benchmarks and VIBE, and compare it with other approximate nearest neighbour indexes.
Filtered search with eCP-FS and M³
Combine eCP-FS with M³, a multi-dimensional media model for typed multimedia metadata, so that similarity search can be filtered on metadata. Min/max summaries of the values in each index node let a search skip clusters that cannot match the filter.
